  This, in my estimation, is probably the largest collection of online genealogical resources out there. Her site is very well organized, and it's fairly easy to find what you're looking for.
• Rootsweb
  Rootsweb is host to numerous mailing lists covering different surnames, ethnic groups, and geographic locations. Helpful to put you in contact with others doing similar research.
• GenForum
  Genforum is a collection of message boards, similar to the one on the Hanks Place. These also cover different surnames and locations.
• FamilySearch
  FamilySearch is the genealogy website maintained by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has numerous resources available, including the Ancestral File online for your benefit.
